Gone are the leaves

This is Anne Donovan reading extracts from her new novel 'Gone are the leaves' whoch was launched in waterstones tonight. Looking forward to reading it. It's different from her previous works and she's worried no one will like it. But from the extracts she read tonight I'm sure she's wrong.
She talked about how she approaches writing by getting to know characters and seeing where they take her. And how writing is like growing plants. Sometimes you plant things and they take years to flower and others flower right away. Some things just need to spend longer underground.
I wish Anne lots of success with her novel. I'm off to start reading it now.
