Lord Byron
I spent the last hour of my work day laughing. Words and languages can be so much fun! This time it begun with the Swedish word for 'chest of drawers'. I thought the English word was 'dresser', but my friend - who I was trying to explain this for - didn't know that word. Luckily one of our English teachers came by and after a while I asked him. After talking about the word for a bit, he got a dictionary. That's when the thing derailed totally… 'Dresser' is one word for 'chest of drawers' but it's also called 'tallboy' or a 'highboy'… The question 'Do your mother have a tallboy in her bedroom?' got me laughing so much… Not to mention playing around with 'highboy'… Having fun with words can get totally crazy. All four of us were laughing. :D
I took a quick shot of the preparations for Last of April and the festivities after work.
