In a puddle...
Just the four of us today... smashing. I love being able to get up and cook breakfast (in my PJ's) before going through to open pressies (again in my PJ's) and then sloping into getting the turkey and trifle ready (also in my PJ's). (Those of you who have not downed a few glasses of wine will probably notice the recurring theme there!).
Then, while the bird was cooking, the man and I got kitted out in some comfy old clothes and headed out for a walk. Nowhere adventurous - just along the old railway line. The light was terrific and the air was so clear. Could see all the way to Schiehallion.
However, I chose this image for my blip today. We couldn't work out why, exactly these Angus Blacks were standing in the puddle, but we guessed it was probably warmer in the water than it was on the land. Snow in the hoof can't be a lot of fun! Anyway, it still seemed like a bizarre thing to do.
Hope everybody has had a great day!
(The breed originated in this area and the small black cattle were called Angus Blacks . Later, the name was changed to the better known Aberdeen Angus to widen the commercial appeal of the breed.... or so the story goes...)
