LUCY

I spent a large part of the day with Lucy.
We were both shocked to realise the last time we were together was when Lucy was 23 and I was 28.
It was glorious seeing her again.
Lucy is an artist, whose major works are in sculpture and painting. She lives in Christchurch, New Zealand and told me that during the devastating earthquake, most of the galleries were raised to the ground, leaving the city devoid of the majority of its art.
Lucy has recently embarked on something of a personal crusade, visiting major cities in the world sharing her art, in an attempt to rebuild and forge new connections, to take back home, to help breathe new creative life back into her scarred and wounded city.
