Ohana Means Family
My heart is overflowing with love.
I spent the best of days Boy his Gal, Tooli and Himself on the beach at Wilmington.
We packed some of Boy's stuff and when Gal had finished her Presentation we headed to Wilmington where Boy is going to take up residence with a couple of his mates until he figures out the path ahead.
On the way we stopped off to pick up our tickets for the Graduation Ceremony and I stopped in to say hello to Boy's boss for the last year. Guess what? She loves him to pieces, and gave us all a slice of home made brownie to eat on our trip to Wilmington.
There is a prospect of a job interview in June... in Wilmington... and part time posts to keep him going until then. We arrived at the apartment, just as his phone rang - another Interview, this time on Tuesday. Then another phone call - his year extension had been approved. Wow!
The serviced apartment, is on the third floor - massive rooms, (there were two canoes in the lounge and we didn't see them at first)... a swimming pool. gym and business lounge with Wifi.
We dropped his stuff and then headed for the beach. We have seen so many photos of him standing and playing on these beaches, in various stages of Scottish Sunburn, and the beach was just as beautiful as they have looked in his photos. And now we are in the glowing stage of Scottish sunburn.
It was just heaven to be wandering along a beach with my wee family... with so much optimism in the air for Boy's future.
But it also dawned on me, that this is the start of another new part of his life - a possible new work place, a possible new location, a longer time away from home; my Baby Boy is all grown up and working things out on his own.
And Tooli? Well, she posed in the surf, and showed everyone her knickers!
We do love her!
