Finally read this coffee table encyclopaedia to British motoring heritage by Kathryn A Morrison and John Minnis. Part of a project around the car by English Heritage it looks in detail at the history, the architecture, the development and the impact on our cities of the first 120 years of car culture. Lots of info but a fully superb read.
