Bank Holiday bells
While I was head down in the office today, the trusty chap who comes to do our heavy garden work was hard at work outside on various projects. What a difference he made, hacking back undergrowth and labouring to tidy all the long hedgerow.
Popping out to give him a well-earned cuppa, I spotted these lily of the valley flowers nestling in the undergrowth. They are the descendants of some given to us long ago by my lovely mother-in-law, now long gone. Isn't it wonderful the way the garden reminds us of people we've loved.
Off on a long drive to Yorkshire tonight for a car meet tomorrow. Hope it dawns fine and sunny for a drive across the North York Moors!
