In the village
At last we had a bit of sunshine today, though the air was cool. 10 degrees is not enough for me.
#3 daughter arrived with Ella and Nathaniel to stay till Sunday as her husband is working this weekend. Ella, who was 2 in a February, is talking all the time now, which is great fun, though when she announced "I'm in charge" I was quick to disabuse her of such a notion. Granny is definitely in charge.
This blip is of our village centre, with the Armstrong cross on the left, erected by Lord Armstrong of Cragside. In the centre is the Church of England, and the white door on the right is to the doctors' surgery. Just out of the picture on the left is Newcastle House, one of the 5 village pubs.
Tonight a friend has her art gallery open for an evening entitled "Icelandic Noir". Three Icelandic writers are going to speak, and there will be Icelandic music - I wonder what? I don't know much Icelandic music except for Bjork or Sigur Ros, one of my favourite bands.
