Between fen and mountains

By Tickytocky

Above Corneilla

I had a very pleasant walk today which followed the ridges of both sides of our valley. It was 18k with around 700 metres of ascent but we took it very steadily. We had expansive views over the mountains all day, walked through the marble quarry and past the remains of two signal towers. The wild flowers were out in profusion including these ones which might be some sort of cornflower. Perhaps someone can come up with a positive identification. I can see a mountain wild flower series coming on! It is blip and rush tonight as it is a quick turn around before badminton.
