Green surf
The rain that everyone has been suffering from arrived with us late last night. It waited until after the BBQ we went to but is just in time for our camping holiday...!
All the tall fluttering grass in our tiny field behind our house has been bent low by the weight of the rain. It made me think of surf crashing on the shore.
A good friend pointed out to me today that I had maybe done something a bit silly. I thought they were wrong. They thought otherwise. We talked about it. I changed my mind. They changed their's. We reckoned we were both right and wrong. We decided not to live in fear. It is good to have friends who challenge and discuss. But afterwards I felt a bit like this grass. But like the grass, I'll dry out .
As I said, we're off on our camping trip. It would be nice if the wet green surf was replaced with bone dry grass, white sand and blue sea. But really, I don't mind if it doesn't. Wouldn't be a real Scottish camping holiday if it did.
See you in a couple of weeks. I hope the sun shines on everyone for at least some of the time.
