Waiting

Shortly after taking this I was approached by a policeman. Someone had reported a person taking photographs; what was I doing? Taking photographs of movement in the the rides; Why? Because I take photographs; Could he look? I don't think it was really a question. He seemed satisfied and then said if he could have seen specific individuals "we would be having a serious conversation elsewhere"; well you can't see individuals because I am not taking photographs of people was my reply. I then pointed out that around us six people were taking photos and videos on mobile phones was he going to check them. No - he could see what they were taking photos of. Really?!!!! On my way back to the car I counted 15 people using mobile phones to film the fair. I can only assume that the officer was doing his job but but if he and people generally think that taking photos and videos on a phone must be OK but with a camera something must be suspicious; heaven help us.
