Stonewall

First foray down to the swamp in months. I stand on a fallen tree that rests on a stone wall to scan the swamp with binoculars. This red squirrel scurried through mountain laurel to the left of the wall and landed with a flourish about two feet from me! Scared me half to death, nearly falling off the tree. He was so close I couldn't get a good shot as I had a zoom lens only! Thankfully after staring me down for a few minutes, he scampered down the wall a few more feet and struck a pose, begging for a picture!
