Calton Hill

I normally stay with my good friends F & B when I visit Edinburgh, but last night, because I arrived late, dined with colleagues, and left early this morning, I stayed in a new (to me) hotel on Calton Hill. For those of you who don't know Edinburgh, this at the end of Princes Street, the main street in Edinburgh, bang in the heart of the capital. This was the view from my bedroom this morning, looking up Calton Hill to the Observatory (well worth a visit) and squashed in between the old civil Service offices. It was a good meeting, but a long day. Glad to be home!
