6 days old....

It has been amazing watching the Blackbirds and chicks develop over the last six days. We have only been able to watch them first thing in the morning and when we get home from work. So the light has not been great.

It is such a privilege watching the male Blackbird arrive at the nest and feed the female and the chicks. Hopefully I will get a shot of this.

Occasionally we can see the male and the female on our lawn gathering up insects and worms for their chicks.

The chicks are growing at such a pace and today they were giving the mother a lot of problems in the nest. Although she was sitting on the nest all the chicks were trying to stick their heads out. Despite the poor light I managed this shot of one of the chicks.
