Woodland Flowers

I was worried about the lack of any colour along the cycle path at this time of year. I remember a few years ago seeing a couple of people picking all the flowers they could without consideration as to whether the flowers would flower next year. I did stop and mention this to them, but they carried on oblivious to my comments.

Of course, the next year, there weren't very many, and I spotted the same people scrambling around looking for flowers, and picking what little there was. So I reminded them again.

The next year, there were hardly any at all. No flowers of any significance to pick. But that was the very cold year of 2010.

But now they are back. Despite the colour, these are bluebells. :^)
