Visitors

These two women came to visit in the afternoon as much as I tried to discourage them primarily to meet and greet my three cats!
They also own cats. The one on the right has N-Stage cancers in various places. She had just had chemo the day before so she thought she could make the 2 to 3 hour drive. Her smiling and generous friend drove.
Apparently, this visit to the 3 Budds is on her Bucket List of things to do before she dies. I kept the cats inside until they arrived. Uncle Buddy took it upon himself to entertain them by demonstrating the finer points of his floor toys. For most of the 3 hours shy PD Budd stayed hidden away. Gracie T-t allowed them to brush her fur as she demonstrated her daily "Spa treatment" for them. But boredom set in and they wanted to go out and play-- the cats not the visitors. So, that was good for all.
Two of us enjoyed a really yummy almond meringue crumble, a/k/a/ failed meringue cookies. Alas, the patient was unable to eat nuts now. Coffee and tea. I shared little cat- type gifts and some homegrown lemon balm leaves for a soothing tea for the cat lovers to take home.
I think everyone enjoyed themselves even-- the celebrity cats.
Their cats have met the Budds on the Cat Channel.com -- a cat club. It is a place where only cats are allowed to post anything... not humans.
I was more active there until I discovered blipfoto and found blipping with other humans more satisfactory. The other woman (on the left) is a Kodak Company retiree and interested in joining blipfoto. I hope she joins.
