Rotorua Marathon Day

Today is the 50th Anniversary of the Rotorua Marathon. Some 8,000+ entrants over the various aspects of it today, whether it be the 1/4 marathon, half marathon or full 42 km.

Went out early too support the half marathoners who walked pasted the end of the street. Then onto the main road to support those doing the 42km.

Have decided I can't take sports / marathon images to save myself.

Although one of the neighbours, three houses over from mine based on the main road, had a fine mist hose going on their fence. Must have been for the runners, but instead I got the local "home boys" walking towards it.

Some 8 hours since they stared, there were still some walkers out there late afternoon at the 32km. Hope they enjoy there sleep tonight and it doesn't take too long to recover.
