Barcelona

Hola from Barcelona. We are here for a long weekend and couldn't be more excited about the prospect of Picasso, Gaudi and wandering the side streets.

I was last here as a student 22 years ago and loved it then, but have to say, apart from the museums and Sagrada Familia my memory of the city as a whole is quite poor.

We spent the afternoon getting our bearings in the area of El Born where we are staying - packed full of cafés and tapas bars and little squares, people just hanging out eating and drinking or defying gravity.....
