1st DAY OF DUCK SHOOTING:

Had friends from Queensland (Mr & Mrs Bowden) call unexpectedly this morning & then I went to lunch with a friend. Came home & promptly fell asleep in the chair ! Woke up with a start & remembered I hadn't taken a photo. This is out the front, Cornus Nuttallii on the left & the bright gold of Parrotia Persica on the right. Put a little blue duck there to remind me of the significance of the day. (None of my family are duck shooters).
