Sunrise #3
Its getting colder in Hyderabad. In the last few days the temperature has dropped noticeably. I was thinking about where I should go this morning but reluctant of leaving the warmth of the blanket. Satya called up and suggested we shall visit a biological park about 10 kms from our place. We started in 10 mins. The drive was so cold by south Indian standards. The view of sunrise was beautiful at one point and we stopped to click some shots. That was all the photos for the day.
The park was flooded by early morning joggers. Many had come from far off ends of the city. The type of cars parked near the entrance indicated that they must be some "very important" joggers and walkers. And then we knew what we were told. Cameras and videos are strictly not allowed! We wondered, a national park is being used for people running around but not for photography. It happens.
Managed to get tickets for the Hindi movie "3 Idiots" which we missed yesterday. The director (Rajkumar Hirani) has his own style of telling stories. His earlier Munnabhai series were also good. Original and likeable for their simplicity, optimism and light heartedness. They make one think life is so simple and enjoyable. Of course one could argue that many of the day to day problems are safely ignored. But optimism and hope that "All Is Well" and going to be well can only keep one motivated and live the present. The cinematography was exellent, putting on screen some beautiful hillscapes of the northern India. The location where the climax scene is shot was awesome. Beauty of Ladakh!
Learnt basic usage of GIMP. Its interesting, but have to explore more. Able to understand the difference the concept of layers could bring to image processing.
It was a satisfying day. A little bit of everything.
