Six Cubic Metres of Concrete
Yesterday's blip showed a large hole, this morning’s blip shows, the partly set concrete now occupying yesterday’s hole. I suspect that this foundation is far more than is needed, but my replacement structure should not move, crack or fall down for many, many years. It does not seem to have disturbed our wildlife and if you look large, just below right of centre of this picture, (where the concrete on the left-hand side meets the long line of concrete) you can see that our local Mallards decided to walk on the concrete to see if it was set; as you can see they left a nice trail of webbed footmarks. We were told that nothing should be placed on the concrete for at least twenty-four hours, but we were unable to communicate this to our local wildlife.
