Humphrey Head

This is a natural rock arch some 30m wide and is on Humphrey Head. Humphrey Head is the only true sea cliff in North Lonsdale, the head is a limestone peninsular jutting out into Morecambe Bay. In 1281 Edward I commissioned Peter Corbet to kill every wolf in the kingdom, legend has it that the last wolf was killed on Humphrey Head.
