I don't know for sure what this little creature is. I would guess at some sort of damselfly but I'm used to seeing them with bright colours. This chap is quite drab. I spotted him on a leaf in the pond and rushed to get my camera. After I had taken several shots I realised that most of the leaves had 2 of them clinging on, one with wings like this and one with just a sort of stump at the back. I couldn't decided whether they were mating or emerging into their new state. I'm sure someone more knowledgable than me out there in Blipland will be able to enlighten me.
