Ely...Eel day

After the woes of yesterday it was befitting to have the joys of this morning.

Ely has its Eel celebrations (that's right, I live in a city that does that!), it's great fun with lots of stuff going on. Food fair, cider drinking, dancing, a massive parade and we had some knights re-enacting battle (12th century) scenes. Generally, it is all good family fun....however, for some it is a very serious business, they have been practising for some time.

So while I betook the virtues of the local cider...others were very much nervous and not relaxed at all.

Good times and fair weather for it all!
