A National Trust day!

We visited a couple of NT properties today, firstly Knightshayes Court, a Victorian country house designed by William Burges, we have been here before so walked around the parkland instead. William Burges also designed Castle Coch which is one of my favourite castles! (Well mock castles!!)

We also visited Killerton, which Sir Richard Acland gave away because of his political beliefs. At 2,590 hectares (6,400 acres) it is one of the largest the National Trust has acquired (it includes 20 farms and 200-plus cottages). It has a lovely garden full of some very unusual plants and fabulous trees. This is the Chapel in the grounds of the house.

A very showery day today, but we managed only to get slightly damp!
