Plenty of Wattle

Today was church picnic/BBQ day. And we couldn't have asked for better weather for it too.

BBQs here are Chinese style ... That usually involves putting a piece of meeting at the end of a long skewer/fork and holding it over a fire to cook.

Martin tends to think that this is a rather tedious way of cooking so usually steps in and cooks a lot of the food, I think he just really enjoys bbqing and misses it terribly.

I was surprised to see the wattle in full bloom and was really appreciating the colours out there, really spring like weather. I wonder how many non-Aussie people out there realise that the colours of Oz (green and gold) actually come from this plant/tree ... The wattle tree. There you go, some free info for you :)

Had a very relaxing day out there and stayed back with friends Roberto and Elizabeth to enjoy the outdoors a bit more.
