Preparing to clean my new table

I had to get a new kitchen table
Don wants his ex wife's mothers kitchen table back - feeling very low about this. When Don come into my household and feel he was part of a family, I got rid of furniture that was special to me but it meant duplicating our homes and squash it into one. So as he didn't have much We had his Dads occasional table (not as nice as mine as I had mine re varnished) and his ex mother in laws dining table. So when he left me he took his Dads table but said the kitchen table we got together so it was mine....only he wanted it back this week so I am rather cross my tables and furniture were donated to charity and now I have nothing and have to buy it all over again.
To my surprise he did give me £40.00 for the new table, but I cant help feel a bit bitter and hate myself for it.
