Looking Through The Iron Gates.

As I was going along Hobson Street in Cambridge, I noticed this view through the closed gates of a side entrance to Christ's College. I was trying to get a shot through the railings, when the gates swung open to let a car out, enabling me to get this picture before they closed again. Lucky to get the blue sky as the clouds only parted in places this afternoon. This is the end view of the Stevenson building built in the 1880's and was extended in 1905 as part of the college's quadcentenary. In 1947 Professor Albert Richardson designed the new cupola. The whole building is beautiful and can be seen in the Third Court.
