1914 - 2014

I went to Waltham Abbey today as I had read in the paper that a local Essex lad, Micky Dumoulin, was going to be performing his Britain's Got Talent song, Bring Him Home, in Sun Street.

Not many were aware and I got a spot right by the stage and some nice shots. I parked in the Abbey Gardens and as I was walking through them I saw these poppies growing on top of one of the ancient walls. I just snapped them. I took lots of carefully considered shots afterwards but these appealed to me.

Poppies for remembrance of all of those killed a hundred years ago.
