Having a good blether
Well perhaps one of them is!
It was a glorious sun shining day in Fort William. After breakfast we checked out of the hotel just before 11am and strolled along the main street to pass the time before our train home at 11.40 am. The bronze sculpture of a weary but triumphant walker marks the end of the WHW, but there was no way I was going to walk past my hotel to get to this point last evening.
The train journey home was fantastic. It took longer than I had anticipated, but travelled a route not visible by road, which in the sunshine, provided the most stunning views of the mountains for about 2 hours and then of course the full length of Loch Lomond.
We arrived at Queen street station then had to walk to Glasgow Central to catch a train to EK and home.
