My Christmas present

My "big" present this year was a new hen house built (but not quite completed!) on Christmas Day by my husband with help from our 13-year-old son. Here are the girls in their new digs for the first time tonight. It is 8x8 with a wood floor and is quite snug and predator proof. All that's left to do is the roof so we have a boat tarp covering them temporarily. My husband thought he had all the materials he needed but came up short. I will paint it this spring. The girls and I are quite thrilled!
