I am NYC for this weekend for wedding dress shopping with my future daughter-in-law. I got up early to take a walk around the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis reservoir in Central Park. The first thing I encountered was a racoon foraging inside the fence around the shore of the reservoir. I was certainly more surprised than he was. He continued with what he was doing until a goose chased him away.
It was amazing to see how many people were out walking, running and cycling at 6:30 in the morning. The early sun was shining on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, and I was able to get this shot. The very tall, double tower building is the El Dorado, best known as a setting for the Ghostbuster movies of the late 1980's. As I had young boys at that time, I was quite familiar with it. It is a very recognizable structure in the NYC skyline.
