When You're Winning

If, as chaos theory tells us, a butterfly flapping its wings in China can cause a hurricane in the Caribbean, I'd hate to think what kind of meteorological cataclysm the Third World may have suffered due to the sigh of relief breathed by everyone in West Bromwich at 5pm. All I'll say is, if a group of spear-wielding naked blokes come paddling down the cut in canoes carrying what's left of the Amazon rainforest, I'm going to give them directions to Molineux.

Yes, we achieved the much-needed three points to boost us up the table and away from immediate relegation danger. It was a nightmare struggle, and there were points when I didn't think I could stand to watch till the end, but it was worth it when Big Vic gestured to the Brummie Road End to give the lads a cheer for keeping the ball in the damn corner and protecting our fragile lead for once. We celebrated like we'd scored another two or three goals.

Here's hoping we can still celebrate come season's end.
