A hearth thumping day
Our day started with a real shock when some poor woman sheepishly knocked on our door to say she's hit our cat with her car. I dont think I properly thanked her for being so brave but I wished I had. Cat was initially looking and sounding bad but we whisked him to the vets who promised to take good care of him.
In the following few hours our day improved tenfold. My father in law miraculously left intensive care and was put back on a normal ward. He's sitting up and talking again!
Our cat came home with 8 lives still intact, walking like he has a zig zag spine, bald in a few places, but essentially just a bit battered and bruised.
We also got to see this little wriggly thing for the first time! Phew! We told the girls about the cat and the baby and grandad in the car after school and it was tears and happy faces all the way.
I wasn't going to use this as today's blip as I wanted to announce our news a different way but the cat wasn't up for posing for me
