Milky Way.........

Another long cold night spent in the great outdoors with only a large flask of coffee for company.
Luckily there were some breaks in the cloud long enough to get some reasonable images. So after so many naff images, i feel i'm now getting somewhere near, to the correct setting on the camera.
To get better images i'm going to have to travel away from Portsmouth to somewhere with a whole lot less light polution, also at this time of the year at this latitude, the mlky way doesn't really get that high above the horizon, probably 50 degrees at most, so when your using a fast wide angled lens, its hard to seperate the milky way from the horizon.
Still, can't grumble, really happy with this image.
Tonight there'll be no standing on a hill top freezing my bits off, instead i'll be in bed.
