Invercoe / Loch Leven
Fairly wet night turned out a decent day at Invercoe.
Invercoe campsite is a busier set up than Port A Bhaigh. It's also totally different in almost every way. It was still okay though, saved by the fantastic view.
The facilities were clean and tidy but a bit dated - a plaque at the entrance announces that it was the Best Small Site 2002 which makes sense as it all needs a bit of updating now.
There's not much point in relying on a twelve year old award forever.
The site got mobbed on Friday night with a lot of folks heading up to their caravans and weekend campers.
We were down at the "forefront" so a bit seperated from the general populace which was great and also a bit sheltered from the wind however this is a grass-free area which resembles a disused "b-road" with a surface made up of bits of tarmac and patches of different ash/rubble/rock materials.
Still the location was good and made up for any shortcomings.
