A one in a hundred chance

Finally spotted one of the yellow Boris bikes today. 101 of the specially painted bikes were released into the system in March to mark the 101st Tour de France which will be coming to London on Monday July 7th.
Boris is reported to have "predicted a clamour reminiscent of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’s search for the golden ticket" with people vying to find and ride the yellow bikes. Curiously this didn't seem to be the case today at the docking station in Whitehall Place where I saw this one. There was a group of people all hiring bikes and they seemed to be studiously avoiding this one. Perhaps none of them wanted to be the odd one out!
As there are around 10,000 bikes in total, you have a 1 in 100 chance of spotting one, or even hiring and riding it if you're that way inclined.
