Snow in May

In an attempt to
lure spring, I have baited my
kitchen with tulips

As the weather turned yesterday, the wind came up and the clouds rolled in. In early morning I could hear the rain coming down outside. I looked out to see snow on the mountains surrounding the city. I've not seen snow come so late in the 40 years I've lived here.

As the clouds lifted this morning, there was Mt. Peter with a snowy cap!

I admit my fixation on tulips this year. I started painting them at the end of winter while still in Arizona. I had only photo references to work with there. Now, with all the variety my grocery store offers, I have been taking many photos of many tulips.
