Sam's Day

Eleven years ago my wife Martine gave birth to a beautiful baby-boy. We already knew he had a neural tube defect that would not allow him to live. Although he was only alive for ten minutes, his life will remembered and celebrated and he continues to be loved. Happy birthday, Sam!!

We choose to celebrate his life rather than mourn his death so here we are creating memories with his sisters. It has now become a tradition to celebrate Sam's life with the five of us. This year, we booked a weekend away in Safari park "Beekse Bergen". We arrived on Friday and explored the park on Saturday. Today, we drove our own car around the park in the car safari. The girls really liked that. After that, we packed our stuff and left. We stopped in Den Bosch to go swimming and then it was time for the long drive home. Another great family day and an excellent weekend!
