Food and friends

Today Belle and I ate a lot.

We ate a lot because we had meals with two sets of friends. Brunch was with S&S who we haven't seen properly for months. They are newly engaged and we celebrated this, we laughed and we discussed serious matters, but mainly we enjoyed each other's company. It was a lovely social event and brunch beats beer every time.

We then went shopping and spent far too much money, but hey. Pretty things for fun times ahead.

This evening more food was had with friends of Belle's that I hadn't met before T&N and also H. It could have been awkward but it was lovely and more wise words were spoken and memories were shared over the various dishes.

Whether it's brunch or dinner, meals with friends are delicious.
