The Engine Room

This is where the magic happens. When we built our home, we did think this would be the area that the kids hung out and played. Instead it has ended up my zone. I have my fire to cosy up to in the winter. I can chat to whoever while I'm cooking and don't feel left out of the conversation. We have big doors which open out onto the deck to give that good old kiwi "indoor outdoor flow".

Love it. At some stage I want to replace my lounge area seating with some chairs...preferably with some recline.
