Iris in the Rain

It’s been pouring rain most of the day. Also, we’ve been dyeing wool all day, so there hasn’t been much time to go exploring in the garden. This was easy as I have been waiting for this Pacific Coast Iris to bloom this year. I love these brown and purple/maroon flowers. I snatched up my camera when the rain abated for a minute and grabbed this shot, just as another downpour started. I shoved the camera under my sweater and hurried back inside.
