imam
The imam at the mosque in Iskele, just down the road from where we were staying, was friendly and didn't proselytise. He showed us around and gave me a copy of the Koran, half in Arabic, half in English. Never had one of them before. I'll put it next to my old Bible, then they can talk to each other. We didn't speak each other's lingoes so he rang his son, who was in Turkey, near the Georgian border; he teaches English. So the imam's iPhone was passed between me and him as his son translated.
