Nest

The swans on the reservoir have decided that this is the place to raise some children. A nest has appeared on some low lying weed-cum-island areas, and apparently an egg has been seen by one of my fellow dog walkers. We hope that they are far enough from the path to avoid ill-intentioned passers-by, and that all will go well with them. The reflection of her neck (I assume, maybe wrongly, that it is the mother tending the egg(s)) was quite striking on this breezy afternoon.
