Cheese!

Another lovely day out and about.

Today we went to the village of Stilton where they were holding the annual cheese rolling competition. It's usually such a quiet place but today it was heaving with people. A great community atmosphere and lots going on. P had a go on a few of there fairground rides and we stood a watched the twirling demonstration which was really very good. A potter around the stalls and a trip to the real ale tent for Mr J! After a quick picnic stop up by the church, we then watched the main event- the cheese rolling! It was quite intense as the teams all tried to beat each other and I enjoyed learning a bit of the history of the event and the village.
