The Last Candle

At the end of the birthday weekend! We have all had a lovely time, and although it was actually Amelia's birthday on Saturday, I decided she needed another cake today, after her birthday meal of choice: steak and chips, no vegetables.

A gentle day, some tidying and sorting of the mountains of food we have left (never knowingly under catered, our parties!), and I took Amelia to town to buy her birthday shoes. Am not at all well, but have soldiered on, and a sleep in the hammock in the garden this afternoon definitely helped.
