DML
It being the May weekend and having a Monday off work, we decided to go to David Marshall Lodge near Aberfoyle. It's been a while since we were last there and there have been some significant changes. Some for the better, some for the worse.
The visitor centre has been revamped with the whole place looking much airier, but much emptier too. The shop which once sold maps and crafts is now filled with tacky tourist tat. The once homely canteen-style restaurant is now much more swish, but with no outdoor area for those rare days when the big yellow disk shines in the sky. There is certainly a lot more parking available which is a bonus on holiday weekends and the paths have all been improved.
All in all, it's still DML. The waterfall is still magnificent. The midgies are still biting and there are weans everywhere enjoying Scotland. Everything else is just background noise.
Then it rained and we went home.
