Recurve
Went out to do a bit of bird watching, on a whim really. Couldn't decide where to go, but habit sent me to Musselburgh.
I was astonished when I arrived at the Levenhall hides to discover this beautiful pair on the water. First I've seen in Scotland, I think, and certainly the best view I've ever had.
Recurvirostra avosseta. The Avocet.
Just gorgeous, elegant wee things, like the Audrey Hepburn of the bird world :)
