Surprise guest

This swan appeared at our front door this morning, don't know from where is came as we live on a busy road and appears to have come down our drive and just settled down. I gave it bread soaked in water which it eat rapidly, it looked tired but not damage, it could walk and hiss. we were worried it might go back up towards the road so tried to guide it through the gate into our back garden but we ended up catching it and taking out back and put I on the grass. It found it's way in to the lower part of the pond and that is where it has stayed for the rest of the day. It appears fine possibly just tired as it had a good drink once in the pond, we checked up on what they eat and it's been eating ok. Will see if it picks up over the next couple of day and if so will be able to go down our back field where it will have space to take off but if no different in couple of days will get the local wild life centre to come and get it.
