Practice

Bank holiday today, I've been toodling about doing wee things here and there. Nipped out to check the pile of mail at my mum's and to make sure the plants were still alive. They're a hardy lot though, seem to thrive in drought conditions.

Managed to find another pair of reading glasses for her since the first 2 pairs have already gone AWOL but that's the last pair so they're well labelled this time for when she leaves them lying in some unlikely corner. Took them out to her and she was in pretty good form. I even got her postal vote for the upcoming European Elections completed, though she surprised me with her choice!

Then it was up to the allotment for a long overdue attack on the grass. The strimmer was next to useless so it was a job for the shears but that's soul destroying and I only lasted a couple of hours. There was a pipe band practicing in the park though and they gave me a pretty good chopping rhythm; have to say I preferred the slow marching tunes!
